Prep (Age 7–11)
When children initially join the Prep Department their class teacher teaches the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. All other subjects are taught by subject specialists.
As the children progress through the school they are increasingly taught by subject specialists in all areas, but pastoral welfare remains under the guidance of the form tutor.

Children work towards Senior School Entrance Examinations at the age of eleven, and if appropriate, scholarship examinations.
